The Kingdom Hearts Franchise has quietly amassed a great deal of a fanbase since its inception in 2002. Kingdom Hearts is an exceptional brilliant game with great character development, a great plot (thought a bit convoluted), complimented with sensational gameplay. But with more and more people honking for Kingdom Hearts 3, all eyes are on this game:
Ever since Kingdom Hearts 2 in 2006, fans (including me) have been chomping at the bit for news on King Hearts 3, but instead there's a whole mess of sub-games. I don't really mind this because it helps tie up some loose ends like the time Roxas spent before he joined The Organization, where Riku was when he was separated from Sora, past Keyblade weilders, and some other things.
This game is about Sora and Riku taking the Mark of Mastery of Exam so they can become strong enough to tackle the returning Master Xehanort. Also, most of the story will be told through Master Xehanort's point of view. Most of the story is explained in this interview:
This game for me is a highly anticipated game and I for one am ecstatic for it to come out. Many truths will be revealed about Sora and Co. and everything will lead right into Kingdom Hearts 3. Below is the trailer for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. It's set to be released in Japan on March 29 while Europe and The United States will have to wait until Summer of 2012.
